At Rizilient Waste (operated by Maluti Tech), we respect your privacy. We only collect data necessary to enable recyclable waste trade, doorstep pickups, reward calculations, and customer authentication. We never sell your personal information to third parties.

1. Introduction & Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Rizilient Waste mobile application and website services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of information in accordance with this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you directly provide to us, as well as data automatically gathered to ensure app functionality:

Personal Information

Your full name, phone number, email address, and profile photo when creating an account or logging in via OTP.

Location & Addresses

Pickup and drop-off addresses, street names, and GPS coordinates provided by you to schedule collection services.

Photos & Media

Photos you capture or select using the Android Photo Picker to verify recyclable materials or update your avatar.

Transactions & Rewards

Booking history, weights of collected recyclables, point balances, reward redemptions, and activity logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate user logins securely and maintain your user profile.
  • To schedule, route, and complete waste pickups and appointments.
  • To calculate recycling weights, credit reward points, and manage wallet transactions.
  • To provide customer support, status alerts, and important service updates.
  • To detect and prevent fraudulent activities and ensure platform safety.

4. Photos, Camera & Media Access

The App only accesses your camera or media when you explicitly choose to snap a verification picture of waste items or select a profile picture. We use the modern Android Photo Picker, which gives you complete control over which specific images are shared. We do not require or maintain continuous access to your device's photo gallery.

5. Third-Party Disclosures

We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal information. Information is shared strictly on a need-to-know basis:

  • Pickup & Field Crew: Assigned drivers receive your pickup address and contact number solely to complete scheduled collections.
  • Map Services: OpenStreetMap tiles are used to assist with location visual display.
  • Legal Compliance: If required by law, subpoena, or governmental authorities.

6. Data Security & Storage

All data sent between the Rizilient Waste mobile application and our servers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS / HTTPS). Access to user data on our production databases is restricted to authorized personnel with strict access controls.

7. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You retain the right to view, update, or permanently delete your account and personal data at any time.

How to request data or account deletion:

You can delete your account directly in the mobile app (Profile > Delete Account), or submit an online request via our Account & Data Deletion Portal.

Alternatively, email us at [email protected]. Your account is deactivated immediately and personal identifiers are permanently purged within 30 days.
